小時候父母總會在睡前為我們說個床邊故事，哄哄還不想入睡的孩子，說故事幾乎是每個人在成長過程中都會有的共同記憶，也是溫馨而美好的童年回憶。父母為孩子說故事是一種親密的親子相處與陪伴，也可以藉由說故事讓家人間的互動更緊密，說故事的魔力不容小覷，用說故事的方式帶寶寶認識世界。
《艾麗絲夢遊仙境》的作者路易斯‧卡洛（Lewis Carroll）曾經說過：「說故事是一種送禮的行為。」父母願意每天為孩子念故事，就像是天天送禮物給小孩，或許父母為孩子說故事是件稀鬆平常、不足為奇的事，但卻是親子之間最真實的情感交流。

這次的故事，是從小蠶豆和朋友們在草地上發現了一條「怪東西」開始的。他們試著拉一拉那個怪東西！‥‥ 其實，每一個小朋友都有比較的心理，但是他們的心情很單純，有時會因為一時的不愉快而傷心，有時也會只因為「想要幫忙」的心情就成為朋友，這是連三歲幼兒都能看懂的，孩子們化敵為友的秘密。
喬治是隻好奇心旺盛的無尾小猴，他住在戴著黃帽子的男人家裡。有一天，喬治想和小兔子玩遊戲，把小兔子從兔子屋抱出來，結果小兔子跑掉了，喬治請兔媽媽幫忙，終於找到小兔子。之後，喬治想釣魚，可是噗通一聲他掉進湖裡，好不容易回到岸上後，他遇見拿著風箏的比爾，喬治和比爾一起放風箏……。
高麗菜弟弟遇到了豬小弟，很餓很餓的豬小弟想要把高麗菜弟弟吃掉，卻聽到了草叢裡有聲音傳來：「歡迎光臨，歡迎光臨，這裡有好吃的東西喔！」而且還有三隻白色的手揮舞著。接著突然出現了三隻打著紅色領巾的白色大貓，正高舉著牠們的手，招呼著高麗菜弟弟和豬小弟。於是高麗菜弟弟和豬小弟，雖然很害怕，還是跟著他們走去。走過去時，映入眼簾的竟是一大片高麗菜田。
正當豬小弟留著口水時，高麗菜田卻又突然通通消失了！神奇的聲音繼續傳來：「歡迎光臨，歡迎光臨，這裡有好吃的東西喔！」接下來又會出現什麼更令人驚奇的東西呢？
一天早上，松鼠先生醒來發現月亮出現在家門口，慌張的牠開始想著，萬一大家發現了怎麼辦？牠一定會被當成偷月亮的人，被抓去關……於是牠盡辦法要把月亮送走。當松鼠先生正在努力把月亮送走時，月亮卻掉到刺蝟身上去了。
正當刺蝟不知所措的時，幸好松鼠先生就在一旁……但更糟的事情發生了。這個月亮的味道開始變了，還引來了一堆小蟲和老鼠。老鼠們吃了月亮，而且月亮被弄壞了！這下該怎麼辦？他們一定會全部被抓去關！那可不行！趕緊把月亮弄回天上去！
